Make The World Listen hosted a college fair at our co-founder school, Chicago Hope Academy, located on Chicago’s West Side.
The event was rooted in one core belief: access to information changes lives.
At Make The World Listen, our mission goes beyond storytelling. We are committed to ensuring that the next generation has exposure to opportunities, perspectives, and pathways that empower them to succeed academically, professionally, and personally. For many students, college conversations are often limited to familiar names or nearby options. Our goal was to expand that lens.
The college fair brought together a diverse group of universities, many of which students may not have previously considered along with passionate alumni who shared their personal journeys. These were individuals who once sat in the same classrooms, faced similar questions, and navigated comparable challenges. Their stories offered students something invaluable: real-life insight and representation.
Throughout the event, students were encouraged to ask questions freely, engage in honest conversations, and build meaningful connections. Beyond brochures and statistics, they gained firsthand knowledge about campus life, academic programs, and the realities of the college experience. Knowledge that often makes the difference between uncertainty and confidence.
This event embodied what it means to Make The World Listen. It is about amplifying voices that deserve to be heard, opening doors that may otherwise remain unseen, and investing directly in communities by creating spaces for learning, dialogue, and growth.
As we continue to build experiences that bridge opportunity and access, we remain dedicated to our mission of empowering the next generation through education, exposure, and connection.
